| Grand Tour |
8:30 a.m. - Line up at High School
parking lot - Casual Attire - First group will leave promptly at
8:45 a.m. Be sure to ask your Group Leader which CB channel your
group is using before your group leaves. Your Group Leader will
give you a map and tie a piece of colored crepe paper on your left
rear bumper to help identify which group you belong to. If you wear
an era fashion item on the Grand Tour you will receive a MAFFI ribbon
promoting “Touring in Style” - Note: Should you have a mechanical
problem on the Grand Tour, pull safely to the side of the road and
only one Model A’er should stop to try to help you. The entire group
should not stop for a single disabled car. Should the two of you
not be able to get the car running, there will be two “sweep” vehicles
pulling trailers at different intervals following the Grand Tour
route to assist anyone should they break down. They will also attempt
to get the car running or will load it on their trailer to get it
back to Georgetown. The sweep vehicles will carry extra water, gas
and oil along with various tools. The sweep driver’s cell phone
numbers are: ### (Ken) or ### (Jim) or ### (Don) |
